What a beautiful color. Natalie Portman gave a different color to the red carpet by wearing a orchid pink Rodarte gown. The soft and tender fabric with a simple diamond accessories; Natalie is the incarnation of Greek goddess.

I do not know what is going on with Beyonce. I feel disappointed for her night at the red carpet. Wearing a gold and black mermaid cut House of Deleon gown, maybe the dress inspiration comes from oriental culture, a landscape painting, but let her looks cheap and tacky. Doesn’t she feel so tight and uncomfortable with that dress? It is not her fault, ask her stylist.

I love Mamma Mia. But, the sweet heart picked something wrong for Oscar. Amanda Seyfried wore a red with a big bow Valentino gown. Heavy long curly hair with a bulky dress on a sweet little girl; it is not age-appropriate. No No No…

Nominated for the best actor for his role in “The Wrestler”, Mickey represented two tones of black and white color look by wearing Jean Paul Gaultier. There is nothing wrong with his style, but the outfit is more suitable for going to a fancy nightclub or high-end restaurant. Not for Oscars.

Oscars 2009 Red Carpet: Penelope Cruz

The best supporting actress nominee for her role in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, Penelope Cruz wore a vintage Balmain dress with lace detailing. The sweetheart neckline, ivory tender color with a simple  Chopard diamond set of necklace and earrings  gave her elegant princesses look. I just cannot believe it, the dress is sixty years old. Probably someone put the dress in a safer all the time.

Nominated for the best actress for her role in “The Reader”, Kate picked Yves Saint Laurent gown shown the night. The dress is modern and trendy with one shouldered, silky shine, and lace details; let her look very steady and confidence.
